Roberts Cove Germanfest Oct 5 – 6

It's festival time in Acadiana, and if you're like me, you have to plan ahead so you won't miss any of the festivities!

Beginning in 1995, The first full weekend of October; faith, family and local German heritage are celebrated on the grounds of St. Leo IV church during the annual Roberts Cove Germanfest. Visitors are treated to local German food, heritage and genealogy. German singing and German Folk dancing performed by descendants from 8 to 80 years old are special attractions. Admission is $8.00 adults (13 yrs & older) Children 12 and under Free

The annual Roberts Cove Germanfest will bring live entertainment, authentic German food, a large selection of German beer on tap, folklore demonstrations and children's activities  - just a few of the attractions scheduled for this year's festival, which will be filled with local German folklore groups, children singers and authentic German Bands.
