Russell Brand To Be Charged In Phone Throwing Incident

You may recall the incident from March when actor/comedian Russell Brand grabbed an iPhone from a photographer and tossed it through a window in New Orleans.

Reports are that Brand will now be charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property as a result.

Russell allegedly grabbed the phone on March 12 and threw it through a window of a nearby building. He turned himself into police three days later.

Brand later turned to Twitter to defend his actions -- “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
