Country music duo, and husband and wife team, Joey Martin Feek, and Rory Lee Feek, professionally known as Joey + Rory, have had their trials and tribulations in the last year, well documented on their Facebook and blog pages. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Indiana Boone, in 2014, who has Down Syndrome, and Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014, as well. And today, Rory has posted a very touching blog post that he titled 'Enough'. The news is not good. After surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, Joey's cancer has not shrunk, or gone away. In fact, it is growing, and she remains Stage 4. They have stopped all treatments, and have gone home to their farm - 'Not to die, but to Live' - in Rory's words. They are asking for prayers from their friends and fans.

I am heartbroken for these two. We first met when they appeared on the CMT Reality show 'Can You Duet', and they also stopped by several times here at the radio station when they were either on their radio tour, or playing a show nearby. They are sweet, kind people, who love their family, and real country music.

Rory Feek's blog post, which he calls 'This Life I Live - Scene's From One Man's Extraordinary, Ordinary Life' - is wrenching to read, and brought tears to my eyes today. We are keeping a good thought for Joey, Rory, little Indiana, and their family. Sending prayers and love from south Louisiana can never hurt....
