The New Orleans Saints will be hosting the Los Angeles Rams today in the NFC Championship Game at 2:05 pm, with the winner moving on to Super Bowl LIII.

All season long, 97.3 The Dawg and ESPN 1420 have been your home for Saints football on the radio in Acadiana.

However, and unfortunately, due to NFL broadcast rights, we won't be carrying today's game or a possible Super Bowl game. The reason is fairly simple, yet a bit complicated.

During the regular season and up until the conference championship games, the radio flagships and its affiliates (that's us) carry their respective teams' games. In our case, the broadcast originates from WWL 105.3 FM/870 AM out of New Orleans.

But for the conference championship games and the Super Bowl, those broadcast rights are held by Westwood One. Unfortunately, 97.3 The Dawg & ESPN 1420 does not hold those rights in Lafayette. So, we aren't afforded the opportunity to broadcast today's game.

You can catch the game though on television on KADN Fox 15 here in Lafayette. And WWL will still broadcast the game on its frequencies -- 105.3 FM and 870 AM.

So, if you need to listen to the game today and you are in the Acadiana area, try 870 AM, as the AM signal often times makes it this far.

We're still going to be Who Dat proud today here at 97.3 The Dawg & ESPN 1420. Geaux Saints!
