New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton surprised owner Tom Benson today at the team's indoor practice facility with a giant poster of Benson hoisting up the Lombardi Trophy after Super Bowl XXIV.

Other giant posters hang within the practice facility of the franchise's successful moments over the years, but Payton noticed something was missing from the walls...a poster of the man who helped build it all long before the team had Payton or star quarterback Drew Brees.

We have photos up on the walls of our indoor facility of our Super Bowl game, Steve Gleason's blocked punt -- great team images that have captured what we have built here and what we continue to build.

"The guy that has meant the most to our organization and our success is Mr. Benson. No one deserves that more. It is a simple but important gesture," said Sean Payton in an article from Larry Holder of nola.com. "We could not have had the success that we have enjoyed without Mr. Benson. He has one goal every year, to win a championship for our fans...I think putting that image of him up there reminds us daily of what we are working for."

At 87 years old, Benson is hoping to hold up another Lombardi Trophy soon. As the Pelicans owner too, he wouldn't mind hanging up an image of him holding up the Larry O'Brien trophy in the basketball practice facility housed next door.
