Our Saints Reporter Gus Kattengell predicted the Saints would score 34 points. Spot on Gus! Of course he said the Packers would only end up with 31.

Despite being down all game, Brees and the Saints offense had a golden opportunity to tie the game at the end of regulation. After a penalty in the end zone, with no time on the clock, rookie RB Mark Ingram was stuffed at the line of scrimmage, ending the Saints potential comeback.

Drew Brees did have a nice game as he passed for 419 yards with 3 TDs. Devery Henderson led the way receiving, as he tallied 100 yards on 6 catches with one score.

Also having a nice game in his Black & Gold debut was Darren Sproles. He had a 72 yard punt return for a TD plus 7 receptions for 75 yards.

Next up for New Orleans is the home opener on Sunday, September 18th against Chicago.
