The New Orleans Saints were dealt a blow today as Pro Bowl running back Mark Ingram was officially suspended the first 4 games of 2018.

Ingram violated the league policy on performance enhancing substances.

By rule, he can take part in all offseason practices, as well as the preseason, but he won't be allowed to be part of the team in any capacity for the first 4 weeks of the 2018 NFL season.

Ingram will miss games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants.

He is eligible to return to the roster on October 1st, and his first regular season game back will be in week 5 versus the Washington Redskins.
