New Orleans Saints kicker Zach Hocker probably knew his days on the team were numbered after missing a pair of field goal attempts in last Thursday's win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Hocker's struggles through six weeks of the season led to his release, as he's missed 4 kicks this year.

Replacing Hocker is veteran Kai Forbath, a five year veteran who has played for the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and most recently, the Washington Redskins.

Washington released Forbath after week 1 when he missed a kick in a loss to MIami, despite the fact that he was successful on 24 of his 27 field goal attempts in 2014, and hit 88% of his FG attempts over 3 seasons with the Redskins.

Ironically, Forbath beat out Hocker for Washington's kicker job last season. After cutting Forbath last month, the Redskins signed Dustin Hopkins as his replacement. Hopkins was beat out during Saints training camp by Hocker.
