School Closures in Acadiana

Due to the heavy rains already this morning and more forecasted for the day, many school systems are closed today.

Here is what we have so far:

• All Evangeline Parish schools are closing.
• St. Mary Parish schools will close at 12:00 pm
• St. Landry Parish Public Schools are closing at 12:30 p.m.
• All Catholic schools in Lafayette Parish
• Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy
• Willow Charter Academy in Lafayette
• Gethsemane Christian Academy in Lafayette
• Catholic High in New Iberia
• St. Edwards in New Iberia
• Assembly Christian School in New Iberia
• Ascension Episcopal School (all campuses)
• Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy in Youngsville
• Epiphany Day School in New Iberia
• St. Bernard in Breaux Bridge
• First Baptist Christian School in Lafayette
• Highland Baptist School in New Iberia
• Lighthouse Academy in Abbeville
• New Beginnings Christian Academy in Breaux Bridge
• All campuses of SLCC
• Indian Bayou Elementary School in Vermilion Parish
• Westminster Christian Academy, Lafayette campus
• Maltrait Memorial Catholic in Kaplan

***Beginning at 11am today, Vermilion Parish public schools will begin dismissing. High schools and middle schools followed by the elementary schools. Parents can start checking out children now if they wish***
