Schweddy Balls & More Outrageous Ice Cream Flavors
From KATC's Tracy Wirtz: Ice cream is, hands down, my favorite, favorite, favorite sweet treat! My choice usually includes chocolate and vanilla with nuts in it OR strawberry with nuts in it. I recently discovered a flavor called "French Silk" by Eddy's (I think... the tub is round). It is like cold SIN! Moussy chocolate and vanilla with big shavings of dark chocolate in it... Katie bar the door and get me the scoop! But it does have half the calories and a third less fat (can you see me grinning?). Imagine my utter shock and dismay when Ben & Jerry's released the name of their latest concoction the week. It actually doesn't sound too bad. It's vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls. No nuts but I can do that! And it's called... wait for it... Schweddy Balls. Yeah, the name is from the Alec Baldwin skit on SNL. Ben & Jerry's has some pretty rockin' flavors with some very strange names. That's their schtick. But no matter how good it sounds by description, can I REALLY eat something with the name SCHWEDDY BALLS? Could you?

This flavor is for the caramel lover. Half chocolate ice cream, half caramel ice cream with a big thick center of caramel in the center. This pint of ice cream is literally 50% ice cream, 50% caramel. The caramel is so good, very flavorful, creamy, a touch of salt. Totally addicting. I will straight up admit one night in college I ate the entire caramel core before touching the ice cream part.

Chubby Hubby is my ultimate ice cream dream. Sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy. Yes, this is all in one ice cream. If you love chocolate covered pretzels as much as I do, you will die when you indulge in this treat. The base is a yummy vanilla, with chocolate and peanut butter swirls. Add in whole peanut butter filled pretzels covered and chocolate. This stuff is rich and delicious and will satisfy ANY snack craving with only one spoonful!
