Sean Payton Files For Divorce From Wife Beth

It's no doubt been a rough year for Sean Payton. First, he got suspended from doing the job he loves. Now, his nearly 20-year marriage appears to be over.

According to court documents, Sean filed for divorce in Tarrant County, Texas on June 14. The petition lists the grounds for divorce as "discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."

The filings indicate that Payton has moved out of the couple's Westlake, Texas home. The couple has two kids together, Meghan and Conner.

In Payton's original filing, he asked the court for joint custody of the kids and the hope that he and Beth could divide their property out of court.

However, Beth has other plans as she filed a counter-petition on June 26, basically seeking custody of the kids.

July 11th would've marked the couple's 20th wedding anniversary.
