Seven students, a teacher's aide, and a bus driver are being treated for minor injuries after a pick-up truck struck a school bus in Opelousas earlier this morning.

From KATC -

"The crash took place around 7:45 a.m. on the I-49 Service Road just north of Creswell Lane.

Police say the pick-up truck lost control in a curve and hit the left front of the bus, which was on its way to the St. Landry Parish Alternative School.

The nine passengers on the bus were transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the truck was not injured. He will be cited for failure to maintain control."
