Three men were arrested Wednesday after detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office conducted compliance checks on sex offenders throughout the parish.

According to Sheriff's spokesperson Traci Landry, detectives with the Sex Offender Compliance Division arrested the three previously convicted sex offenders for crimes related to sex offender registration requirements.

  • Marcus D. Parker, 24, of Franklin; Warrant for failure to notify law enforcement of a change of address as a sex offender. Parker was convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles in St. Mary Parish in 2012. No bail is set.
  • Joseph H. Pollard, 53, of Morgan City; Warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Pollard was convicted in St. Mary Parish in 1989 of molestation of juveniles and in 2003 for indecent behavior with juveniles. Pollard was also convicted of failing to notify law enforcement of a change of address as a sex offender in 2012.
  • David T. Francois, 43, of Morgan City; Warrant for failure to provide notification as a sex offender, Warrant for failure to pay annual sex offender registration fee, warrant for failure to obtain a special identification card as a sex offender. Francois was convicted in St. Mary Parish in 1999 for sexual battery.
