Yes, you read that right, singers better brush up on their lyrical talent!

A bill in Indiana was passed that would fine performers $25 for butchering or taking too much liberty with the National Anthem. The singer has to meet state-defined standards for performance.

The bill was introduced by senator Vaneta Becker in Indiana, and would only apply to public schools university-sponsored events.

It would be dictated by guidelines instituted and enforced by the State Department of Education and the Commission for Higher Education.

Performers would have to sign a performance contract following the department's specifications. Schools would also be required to keep all recordings of all renditions for up to two years for their review when and if complaints are filed.

Better watch out Christina!
