UPDATE: The six dogs in the Crowley Animal Shelter were adopted prior to the Thursday deadline and have been saved from being euthanized.

Shelter director Tommy Primeaux says the six rat terriers have been in the pound since the beginning of 2013. Primeaux adds that the shelter is well over capacity, holding 31 animals in the 18-animal facility.

The dogs may still be adopted before tomorrow's 9 A. M. procedure. If you would like to adopt any or all of the animals, you may visit the shelter at 220 Jack Mitchell Road in Crowley before 3 P. M. today or beginning at 8 A. M. tomorrow. If you have any questions, you may contact the shelter at 337-458-0370.
