If you dip Skoal, Copenhagen or other smokeless tobacco, there has been a recall issued by the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company in six states.

The company reports consumers have contacted them complaining about finding foreign metal objects, some sharp, in some cans.

According to USA Today, the recall affects more than 40 Skoal, Copenhagen, Cope and Husky Brands products, a complete list of which is available at Atria's website.

Currently, the recall covers Texas, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina and Tennessee. If you use these products, even though Louisiana isn't currently on the list of states included in the recall, I would definitely inspect your dip before using.

If you do find something wrong with your product, contact the company at 1-866-201-9136 to return a recalled product for a refund. The company has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the voluntary recall, according to USA Today.
