Are you the person in your social group that always has a great idea?  You can put your ideas to work for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration as they have launched a competition for slogans.

The administration says the competition is open to students, faculty and staff members at UL Lafayette.

They are having the competition to get catchy slogans that will then be used for marketing of the College of Business and its programs.

If you want to participate, officials recommend that you learn as much about the Moody College of Business as you can by visiting their website.

Here are the topics that the college wants to highlight:

  • We're committed to research for a reason
  • This is our time, and we're determined to make the most of it
  • We have a gift for bringing people together
  • We're eager to share what we're learning
  • We teach the real meaning of joie de vivre
  • Our Ragin' Cajun spirit goes beyond athletics

Entries for the competition con be submitted between September 8 and September 17 from the hours of 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.  They need to be submitted via the form on this site: business.louisiana.edu/slogancompetition

All the rules and guidelines are at the site, and the suggested length for each slogan is 3 to 7 works.

Potential prizes are

  • A total of $1,500 in retail gift certificates to Best Buy
  • $500 for first place

Winners will be determined by a selection committee, and the college says if no entries are deemed to to be of sufficient quality by the committee, prizes will be forfeited.

If there are multiple entries of the same slogan, then the first one submitted would be the prize recipient.

Dean Joby John, who will serve on the selection committee says,

“This competition allows the creativity of our students, faculty and staff across the UL Lafayette campus to capture the spirit of the remarkable programs Moody College of Business offers."
