Sonic Christmas Parade This Sunday in Downtown Lafayette

The 2015 Sonic Christmas Parade will roll through downtown Lafayette at 1pm this Sunday, December 6th. It's also the official arrival of Santa Claus to Acadiana!

The parade will begin at the Jefferson Street underpass and conclude in the Oil Center.

In addition to jolly ole St Nick, the parade will feature floats, high school marching bands, and dance clubs. The Sonic floats will be throwing collector's edition Ragin' Cajun Tots.

Children are invited to bring their letters to Santa to the parade where they will be collected and mailed to the North Pole.

The Sonic Christmas Parade allows has a new tradition of honoring Acadiana's veterans. All veterans from every branch of the military are urged to march (or ride) in the parade. Transportation will be provided and there is no charge to participate. Veterans are asked to arrive at noon at the beginning of the parade route and wear their uniforms or colors.
