Spirit Halloween Moving Into Acadiana Mall

Good news for the Acadiana Mall as they are getting a new tenant soon.

Spirit Halloween, the giant Halloween costume and novelty store, will be opening in late August.

According to owner Jason Draper, the store has not been in a mall before, but he's excited to see what happens.

You may recall that Spirit Halloween was previously located in the former World Market building on Ambassador Caffery. Draper said the store was in that location for five years but the lease is now expired.

A second Spirit Halloween is located in the Grand Marche Shopping Center on Johnston Street. It's been there for 11 years now.

Spirit Halloween has about 1,200 locations nationwide and according its Facebook page "positions itself as the leading national Halloween retailer."
