For two days the listeners of 97.3 The Dawg have taken on the task of showing love and support for the patients, families and medical staff of St Jude hospital. I am pleased to share the news that once again the good people of South Louisiana have risen above and beyond in their compassion for children battling cancer.

This was the 23rd year for 97.3 The Dawg's listeners to be a part of Country Cares and the radiothon that goes along with the program. Over this past Thursday and Friday your phone calls and online contributions generated $118,022.00 that will be sent to help save lives at St Jude.

Saying thank you just doesn't seem like enough. Once again your kindness and compassion and your dedication to the mission that no child might die in the dawn of life is simply amazing. It's not surprising because you have always been this way.

South Louisiana, Acadiana I am so grateful and proud to call it home. I am so grateful and proud to be a part of a loving and giving community that shares the same values of faith and family that I do. Congratulations, you have made a huge difference in the lives of so many and earned the unwavering gratitude of the radio station that proudly serves you.
