Our friends in St Landry Parish sure know how to celebrate! We’ve got a couple of Independence Day celebrations that you won’t want to miss, so make plans to attend with the whole family.
Fourth of July Firework Show hosted by the City of Eunice, this year’s display will be bigger and better. For almost 30 years, the former Mayor and licensed pyrotechnic, Kenneth Peart, orchestrates a 30 minute spectacular display of fireworks. Bring the entire family out to enjoy the show. And in Krotz Springs:
“Fireworks on the River,” The annual Independence Day Celebration will be held at Nall Park. Everyone is invited. Please come out with your family, bring your lawn chairs and plan to spend the evening in a family atmosphere. Prior to the fireworks, will enjoy the music of J.C. Melancon Band. The entertainment will begin around 6:30pm. There will be two fun jumps for the kids to play. Cokes, hot dogs, and watermelon will be served. Ice chests are permitted, but no bottles please. We will cap off the evening with a great fireworks display complete with patriotic music at dusk dark (usually around 9pm). The Fire Department and its volunteers will supervise the fireworks display, as always. Hope to see you and your family there as we gather to celebrate our Nation’s 237th Birthday.
