The Louisiana State HOG Rally rolls in to Lafayette this weekend for food, music, motorcycles and loads of fun!

The Harley Owners' Group, a national organization with local chapters, is holding the Louisiana State Rally in Lafayette this weekend.  For motorcycle enthusiasts, this is a time to enjoy great music, see the latest in motorcycle gear and apparel, catch up with old friends and have an all-around great time!

Having the rally in Lafayette will introduce many people from outside of Acadiana to our Cajun heritage: the food, the scenery, the lifestyle and the hospitality.

Even the Pope welcomes bikers!

There are no rides set up to visit the Vatican for this rally, but several rides have been planned for this rally, including simple rides to local restaurants, sight-seeing rides, and rides destined for places like Avery Island, Vermilionville and the Boudin Festival in Scott.

The Early-Bird Party is set to begin at 5pm Thursday at Cajun Harley-Davidson in Scott.  Other entertainment for the rally includes the Marshall Tucker Band Friday night at Downtown Alive, and REO Speedwagon at the Cajundome Convention Center Saturday evening.

Registration for the event is $45 per person, and you must be a member of the National H.O.G. Chapter by Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Several HOG chapters from across the state were on the committee to put this event together, including chapters from Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Alexandria and Monroe, with experienced riders from Acadiana helping plan the rides.
