When the guys of the Cadillac Three were just getting started in music, they had no idea they'd one day find themselves on stage in Nashville with rock-legend-turned-country-star Steven Tyler. But on Saturday, it happened.

The band played a sold-out show at Music City’s Cannery Ballroom on Sept. 19 and surprised fans with a very special performance with the iconic Tyler during their encore.

Jaren Johnston, who handles lead vocals and guitar for the trio, introduced Tyler to fans, who erupted in cheers and applause as the band began the iconic bass line for the Aerosmith mega-hit "Sweet Emotion."

Tyler brought with him on stage a Cadillac Three T-shirt, though he crossed out the “three” and changed it to the number four. He displayed it for fans before throwing it into the crowd with a smile and breaking out the shaker to keep time.

The Aerosmith lead singer still has it, nailing the melody as he always has, with the guys backing up on harmonies. He showed off his iconic eccentric style as the band played, Johnston smiling ear-to-ear.

The Cadillac Three are joining Chase Rice on his JD and Jesus Tour this fall and released their latest single “White Lightning” in early May. The song will appear on their forthcoming sophomore album. Johnston has said the band is trying to walk the line between keeping their music accessible, but still pushing the boundaries.

“We’re just trying to make it as out there as possible, but still be accessible to as many people as possible as well,” he says. We’re just kinda doing what we do naturally. Like our first record was just us in a room with a dude hitting a button record and us playing. We’re keeping that same mentality, but we’re also trying to grow as a band, so we’re actually doing it in a real studio this time."
