Monday mornings can be tough enough on the most beautiful of days. If you toss in a good chance of heavy rain, high winds and maybe even a tornado that makes for a Monday that could be a real eye-opener in the wrong way. A strong storm system that has spawned deadly tornadoes across the Great Plains will be pushing eastward and by the time you wake up with us on the Bruce and the Kennel Club show tomorrow morning things could be rather bumpy.

The official forecast from the most trusted weather team in Acadiana at KATC TV 3 agrees with what the National Weather Service office out of Lake Charles is saying for the start to your work week. Rain chances will be increasing especially after midnight tonight and will continue until at least Tuesday morning. Right now the greatest threat of severe weather appears to be to the north of our area.

We could still experience very strong thunderstorms, high winds and perhaps even more flooding rains. The good news is that the heavy weather should clear our area late Tuesday and we will enjoy some great weather for our Roots and Boots concert Thursday night in downtown Lafayette.
