Stupid New Social Media Trend — ‘Extreme Phone Pinching’

Just when I thought the internet could get no dumber, the bar gets raised. Apparently, there is a new social media trend out called "extreme phone pinching".

It works like this. You take your phone, hold it loosely with your thumb and forefinger and dangle it over a dangerous place. Then you have a friend take a picture of you, usually while making some sort of dumb face.

Riveting, I know.

The trend got some late night TV show love last week and the photos have started flooding in.

There are some with people dangling theirs off of a bridge, over the side of a fishing boat, over a toilet, and in the cracked concrete covering a sewer.

No word yet if anyone has actually dropped their phone but if you are one of the lucky ones, send us pictures or it don't count!
