Suspicious packages are nothing to be messed with these days and that's why they are taken very seriously. And a package left at the Slidell Post Office on Friday was definitely one no one wanted to mess with.

Officials with the Slidell Police Department were called out to the scene on Friday afternoon to investigate a suspicious package. During the investigation the post office and area was blocked off. Even the St. Tammany Bomb squad came in to assist the investigation.

After several hours, at around 8:00pm, Slidell Police tweeted out what the investigation turned up.

Eww, gross!

Chief Randy Fandal with the police department says that a person of interest was questioned. They believe this person appears to have some mental health issues.

Just another day in south Louisiana.
