Chase Likens might just be the "country guy" to watch for on this season's American Idol. Last night's show featured the West Virginian covering a song that we are very familiar with, Hunter Hayes' "Storm Warning".

Former ‘American Idol‘ winner Carrie Underwood and current ‘Idol’ judge Steven Tyler will team up yet again. After performing together at the ACMs in April 2011, Underwood and Tyler will give it another go and attempt to recreate their onstage electricity and magic as part of the ‘CMT Crossroads’ series on Super Bowl weekend.
It’s that time again, country fans! The 2012 season of ‘American Idol’ will kick off this January. It’ll be the show’s 11th season and let’s hope that this season follows the same trajectory as the last, when the final two contestants were country artists! Will Scotty McCreery‘s heir apparent make it to the top? Will we find our next Lauren Alaina? It’s certainly an exciting prospect, since country music dominated the show last season. That trend could very well continue into 2012.
