September 1, 2011 First it was Calvin Borel a couple of weeks ago getting busted for a DUI. Now Kent Desormeaux is in trouble with the law.
The Maurice native and three-time Kentucky Derby winning jockey allegedly tried to run over a Saratoga Springs, New York cop. The incident happened yesterday at about 6:30pm at the Saratoga Race Course when Desormeaux hit the officer while driving his 2003 Porsche.
August 22, 2011 Catahoula native and 3-time Kentucy Derby winning jockey Cavin Borel was arrested and jailed Saturday night in Evansville, Indiana on a drunken drive charge.
Borel was stopped by Indiana State Police for making an unsafe lane change. According to Borel's agent, Jerry Hissam, Borel's blood-alcohol content was "barely over" the legal limit of .08 percent.

Police in Bradenton, Florida arrested a woman last Wednesday after she went loco when a store official stopped her while she tried to leave with a cart of goods she hadn't purchased.
When initially confronted, 22-year-old Myra Mays tried to hit an employee with a bar stool she had stuffed into her cart. She then knocked over a display of gas grills, which caused over $1,000 in damage.
April 19, 2011 Looks like even those in the higher tax bracket need some help these days. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Mike Leake was arrested on a shoplifting charge yesterday in Cincinnati. He allegedly stole six t-shirts from a department store worth about $60. Police say he removed the tags off the shirts and attempted to walk out the store.

February 16, 2011 I guess it's the way life is supposed to be if you are a young star in Hollywood. You grow up in front of us in our living rooms, after your show is cancelled you make a few okay movies and then it's on to being tabloid fodder. Such is the case with Miley Cyrus, the stars of Growing Pains and now the star of My Dog Skip and that spy movie, Frankie Muniz. I guess being young rich and famous isn't what we all think it should be huh?
As you may recall, New Orleans Saints Defensive End Will Smith was arrested in Lafayette recently. Now he's speaking out on the matter. Although he's not saying a whole lot.
