The 6th annual "Fishing For Memories" benefit rodeo is is happening this week, June 19 - June 22nd in Intracoastal City.

It's once again time to shake a leg for a cure with the 12th Annual Cajun Woodstock set for this Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at Church Point City Park.

This year, proceeds will benefit the Faith House Crisis Center for Abused Women and Children.

Country legend Mark Chesnutt will be headlining the 2nd Annual Spring Bash in Erath this Saturday evening (March 8). The two-day benefit will be held at Quality Sports Authority Complex and will feature a softball tournament for both men and women and live music Saturday afternoon into the evening.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton will be hosting the 2013 Black and Gold Gala on Saturday, September 28 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The event will raise funds for Payton's Play It Forward Foundation which raises and awareness for organizations working with families and children in the areas of health, education and social welfare.

The Bryan Badon Memorial Concert will be held at the Rayne Frog Festival Pavillion today from noon to midnight. All proceeds will go to Bryan's wife and kids to help defray funeral expenses. Bryan was a long-time musician who played with many local bands and tragically lost his life in an automobile accident earlier this year.

Last night's "Healing in the Heartland" concert hosted by Blake Shelton in Oklahoma City was quite a touching show. A whole slew of country music's biggest names including a few artists from other genres got together to help raise money for the devastated areas of Oklahoma affected by the May 20th tornado.

Tomorrow, April 18, 2013, the community is encouraged to eat out and end hunger by dining at the participating restaurants.
