An 8-year-old girl lost her life on Tuesday as the unrestrained child died in a vehicle crash in Acadia Parish. The crash happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 91 near Arpent Lane.
The man was inside the business and the woman was in the vehicle when, for some reason, the vehicle accelerated and drove through the front of the building.
State Police Troop A TFC Taylor J. Scrantz said Lt. Todd Alcorn of the Lafayette Police Department was involved in a two-car crash around 7:00 am Sunday at mile marker 132, about five miles east of Whiskey Bay.
