We just got word that Don's Specialty Meats in Carencro is on fire. We don't have many details at this time but we do have the following video courtesy of Timmy Duhon.

It's chewy it's good, it's full of protein, and did I mention it's good? Today's offbeat holiday celebrates jerky.

On Sunday at 1pm, it's one of the best Mardi Gras parades in the area, the Scott Mardi Gras Parade hosted by the Scott Business Association.

Don's Specialty Meats has been serving up delicious boudin and cracklins along with a great selection of specialty meats for 20 years now, and a party has been planned!
