Holiday Drinks

Our holiday season is unlike any other because it starts in October with Halloween and doesn't wrap up until after Mardi Gras in February or March depending on where it falls that year. So while everyone else is starting their New Year's resolutions we are still indulging in all things sugar and fried. This means being tempted by unhealthy desserts, drinks, and meals is unavoidable for almost half the year

This looks fairly simple to pull off. If you're not drinking alcohol this 4th, you can easily modify this recipe into something alcohol free.

Here at 97.3 The Dawg, we just love all that the Christmas season brings. We love the presents and caroling and lights and food and parties. We may just like the parties part a lot.

I am an eggnog lover. It has always been a special treat at our house for the holiday season. We don't spike ours up like others do. I like my eggnog straight with a sugar cookie and Burl Ives on the radio. The only drawback to eggnog in my mind is how expensive it is! I've found a place where we can learn to make our own and who knows maybe this will lead to another holiday tradition at our house
