There is something about this time of year which seems to bring out the best and worst in people. Maybe it's the pressure of the season but for some reason people seem to go off the deep end a lot more often around Christmas. Such is the case of a gentleman who faked a burglary in his own home in order to solicit more presents from a sympathetic public.
Laughter is truly the best medicine. That is why we always double up the dose when ever we can on the Bruce and the Kennel Club Morning show here on 97.3 The Dawg. Our friends at Saturday Night Live know a thing or two about laughter too. They have been making us double over for decades and around the holidays that is especially true with great skits and bits a plenty.
We all know the lines by heart, " You'll shoot your eye out" and "Every time a bell rings, an Angel gets his wings" are classic examples of great lines from holiday classic movies. Well don't expect to get a popcorn kiss under the miseltoe this Christmas. The bottom line keepers in Tinsel Town are dimming the lights on Rudolph's nose and the Magic of Frosty's hat for those hoping to get into the spirit of the season at their local movie house.
You find it harder to concentrate, you don't seem to be getting any sleep at all, you're cranky and irritable is it the flu? Nope chances are it's the holidays. Yes 'tis the season when the desire to shop, decorate,wrap, carol, cavort and be merry gets many of us down. Well if you like all the trappings of the season but find your time and temper is a little short, don't fret, do what the big boys do, outsource it and enjoy the season.
