Why did the average American go online? For no particular reason (Ba-dum-bum).

Although this may not become the newest joke anytime soon, it’s actually a true statement. According to a new report from the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 53 percent of 18- to 29-year-old Americans go online just for fun or to waste time. With 2,260 participating adults, it turns out that 58 percent of all adults go online for the same reason.

You could say that Blake Shelton is a big advocate of his First Amendment right to free speech. OK, Shelton likes to run his mouth. The ‘Honey Bee’ hitmaker is notorious for using Twitter as an outlet for his thoughts — whatever they may be — which has sometimes shown him backlash from angry groups like PETA and GLAAD. To celebrate his freedoms, however, Shelton has jumped on board with the Free to Tweet campaign, which will in turn encourage kids to do the same to earn money for school.

There is nothing more heart wrenching to me than hearing of the loss of a child. I literally ache inside when I hear of a senseless loss of life involving a precious little one. This story makes my stomach hurt but I am posting it because I think it needs to be told. We sometimes get so involved in our own world that we forget about the little ones in our care. What caused this death? Facebook. That's right, a little too much computer and not enough watching the children.
