Acadiana's own Hunter Hayes became a part of history earlier this week, when he announced Ronnie Milsap as the newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame at the official announcement ceremony in Nashville.
The concert featuring country legend Ronnie Milsap scheduled for this Saturday night (Jan. 11) at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville has been postponed.
If you are reading this when it is less than 1 hour old on the website then you and I have a lot in common. We are the people of the night. The up late and the early risen and most likely it's because we have a job to do. My job is to make sure we have what you and the rest of Acadiana needs to start their day...
This Friday night at Downtown Alive!, the largest "Freeze" line dance ever will be attempted. Louisiana Red will be on stage at Parc Sans Souci for the free weekly live music series. Music gets kicked off at 6:00pm and wraps up around 8:30pm.
In case you missed today's Bark Back Game (and want to score some points on your Rowdy Friends account), here's the question and answer:
Q: On this date in 1981, what Robbinsville, North Carolina singer took "(There's) No Gettin' Over Me" to the top of the country charts?
Ronnie Milsap has a new cd that came out today. It's called "Country Again". The first single off the disc is an oldie that we all know very well here in South Louisiana, "If You Don't Want Me To". Of course that wedding reception staple is better known to us Cajuns as "The Freeze".
We sure had fun last night at the auditions for the video for Ronnie's HUGE hit song "If You Don't Want Me To"-also known as "The Freeze". Thanks to everyone who came out, and if you have tickets....have a great time at the show tonight at Cypress Bayou Casino!
Ronnie Milsap is coming to Cypress Bayou Casino on Friday, March 11th. But before the show he's filming an official video for the "The Freeze" aka "If You Don't Want Me To" and YOU can be in the video.
