A big thanks to everyone who came out last night support their family member or friend competing in this year's Texaco Country Showdown at Cowboy's Nightclub. We had seven great entertainers that got up on stage and sang their hearts out. Unfortunately only one could move on the next round of the competition and maybe walk away as the eventual national champ and a $100,000 prize.

Meet The Texaco Country Showdown Finalists

The Texaco Country Showdown is set for Friday, August 5th at Cowboy's Night Club in Lafayette. Seven contestants will be competing on stage for the right to move on to the state competition with the ultimate goal of the national title, $100,000 and a national tv appearance. Dustin Sonnier & Six Pack will be keeping the music going as they're serving as the competition's backing band. Doors open at 7pm and competition starts at 8pm.
