It's shaping up to be a pretty big showdown on television this New Year's Eve. Ryan Seacrest has already announced big name country stars Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift for his 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest,' and now NBC has announced that all four of the judges from the hit reality singing competition 'The Voice' will join host Carson Daly for this year's 'New Year's Eve With Carson Daly.'
Blake Shelton may have just won the third season of 'The Voice' (marking his second consecutive win), but the show is already looking forward to Season 4. The latest promo, called 'The Pickup,' finds Shelton giving the coaches a ride in his trusty truck. And that's when the fun ensues.
Now that Cassadee Pope has been crowned the winner of Season 3 of 'The Voice,' it's time for her to turn her attention toward recording an album. The newly-minted star says her sound will lean toward pop and rock, but will also feature some country elements.
Kudos to 'The Voice,' for opening the first night (Dec. 17) of the two-part Season 3 finale with all of the coaches and contestants singing 'Hallelujah' while holding up cards with the name and ages of the innocents who were shot in last week's Connecticut school shooting. It was a beautiful and touching moment. Turns out, the performances on the episode followed suit.
On tonight's (Dec. 11) elimination episode of 'The Voice,' Blake Shelton's team, featuring Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott, remained in tact. Both Pope and McDermott are moving on to next week's finals, doubling the country star's chances of being the show's winning coach for a second season in a row. Shelton could make 'The Voice' history and he's gunning for it.
On last night's (Dec. 3) live performance episode of 'The Voice,' it was suggested that Blake Shelton has the strongest team. His fellow coach Christina Aguilera said it out loud, and well, we're inclined to agree. Shelton has the two strongest competitors left in Season 3, and he's essentially fighting himself. Not a bad place to be in when you are working with people vying for record deals, that's for sure.
Blake Shelton only has two horses left in the race on 'The Voice' in the form of Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope. Neither performer is "country," but Shelton is still doing his very best to foster and develop his talent, regardless of their chosen genre. On tonight's (Nov. 19) performance episode, Shelton's rockers gave it their all.
'The Voice' judge and pop star Christina Aguilera recently previewed tracks from her latest album, 'Lotus,' including a soaring, passionate ballad titled 'Just a Fool' with fellow reality show coach Blake Shelton.
