Put away the white shirts, it's time for Ragin' Cajuns fans to bust out the black shirts.

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns led the #6 Florida Gators in their house by 7 points with less than 2 minutes to go in regulation. Unfortunately, Louisiana couldn’t hang on as the Gators escaped with a 27-20 victory.

Make that five in a row. Louisiana quarterback Terrance Broadway bounced back from a five turnover night in his last start to lead the Cajuns to a convincing 40-24 win over Louisiana-Monroe in front of an announced crowd of 20,203 at Malone Stadium.

I'm sure collectively us members of the Ragin' Cajuns Nation that stayed up till midnight last night were left mumbling something like, "I stayed up for that?"

It's a busy weekend in south Louisiana. From festivals to football and great fundraisers, there is plenty of activities to get out and do. And the weather is going to be fantastic.

By now everyone and their momma has seen the Gangnam Style video. (What with all the crazy gyrations and what not.) The parody videos are now running rampant on YouTube. But this next video may be the best one I've seen. Could be that I'm very partial to my alma mater.

The good news out of Cajun Field on Saturday was the 48-20 whooping the Ragin' Cajuns put on Florida International. The bad news? Starting quarterback Blaine Gautier broke two bones in his throwing hand and will have surgery this week to insert pins in his hand.

It's been nearly a month since Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns played a game at Cajun Field. Welcome back boys! The game should be a doozy as the 2-1 Cajuns take on the 1-3 Florida International Golden Panthers.

It's been a nice run for former UL Ragin' Cajun basketball star Anna Petrakova and her Russian Women's Basketball team. Yesterday, they squeaked out a nail-biter against Turkey 66-63.

The final out of Louisiana's Ragin Cajun Softball season came shortly after midnight last night. When the Arizona State Sun Devils ending the Cajun's 2012 campaign in mercy rule fashion.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team dominated the first game of the best of three Super Regional last night against Arizona State as they came out with a 6-0 win.

The first game of the best of three Super Regional between UL's Ragin' Cajuns (52-4) and Arizona State Sun Devils (49-8) is set for 9pm this Thursday in Tempe, Arizona.

Ten NCAA softball players who excel both on and off the field are up for the 2012 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition.
