Last Wednesday night at Outlaws Saloon & Dancehall in Lafayette we passed us a good time for the Cajun Christmas Nights party. The night was filled with some of the best musicians in south Louisiana.
The Cajun Christmas Nights Concert with Wayne Toups, Geno Delafose & Jamie Bergeron is coming to Outlaws Saloon in Lafayette on December 12th with proceeds benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Acadiana.
A couple of years ago the Grammys decided to do away with a bunch of categories including the Cajun & Zydeco category. That hasn't stopped our great Louisiana artists from getting nominated in other categories though.
This past weekend the St. Thomas More High School Junior class put on the 5th Annual Hopefest at the Blackham Coliseum. The event is put together almost completely by the Junior class, with a little help from faculty member and teacher, Lance Strother. It was almost a disaster, but turned out huge!
On Tuesday we had the great pleasure of teaming up with a few of our very talented local musicians for our annual Christmas Caroling tour. We stopped at three nursing homes/assisted living facilities and sang a few Christmas tunes.
