Tanya Tucker has released a new song in memory of Glen Campbell.  "Forever Loving You" is her goodbye nod to the Rhinestone Cowboy.

Tucker and Campbell briefly shared a headline-grabbing relationship in the early 1980s. In a statement, Tucker says that she is "absolutely devastated" by Campbell's death on Tuesday (Aug. 8).

“It’s been so hard these past several years knowing what he’s been going through. My heart just breaks," Tucker says, references Campbell's life with Alzheimer's disease. "Glen and I shared some incredible, precious memories together for a long time. There were some ups and downs, and, of course, all the downs were played out in the press. We both got past all that. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing ...

"[This song is] in memory of Glen and for all of those who are losing or have lost someone they love," Tucker adds. "I’ll forever love you, Glen.”

Tucker co-wrote "Forever Loving You" with Michael Lynn Rogers and Tennessee State Senator Rusty Crowe. The latter helped to pass the Campbell / Falk Act, legislation that protects the visitation rights of family members of people who living with Alzheimer's, dementia and other similar diseases.
