Tanya Tucker‘s 2017 is off to a rough start. The singer has been forced to postpone several concert dates following an onstage fall and a bout with bronchitis.

According to Tulsa World, the singer will reschedule three concerts this week: Jan. 12 in Tulsa, Okla., Jan. 13 in Emporia, Kan., and Jan. 14 in Grant, Okla. A statement on Wednesday (Jan. 11) from her management shared that Tucker was hospitalized in Texas due to a fracture of one of her vertebrae and a rib in an injury sustained during a fall while on tour. She was diagnosed with bronchitis while in the hospital.

While she isn’t expected to undergo surgery, her recovery process will be a lengthy one, involving physical therapy and breathing treatments.

“We’ve been having a blast with the band and fans on the road and I’m so mad this happened,” Tucker says. “I was really looking forward to seeing all the Okies and fans in Kansas this week, but we have to postpone the shows. I’ll do my very best to make it up for y’all. Let’s hope for no more accidents this year and I look forward to a great 2017.”

In October, Tucker was also forced to postpone six dates due to an upper respiratory infection that struck while she was in the middle of a North American tour. The 58-year-old singer became ill before a scheduled date in South Dakota and sought treatment from local doctors before heading home to Nashville to recover.

Tucker was previously hospitalized in March of 2016 when she came down with bronchitis, forcing her to cancel a show in Florida. Taste of Country extends our well wishes to Tucker for a speedy recovery.
