Target Listed Plus-Size Dress’ Color as ‘Manatee Gray’

Blogger Susan Clemens was surfing Target.com on Tuesday when she came across something quite appalling -- two of the same dresses with two different names -- the smaller size called "heather gray" and the plus-size version labeled "manatee gray"!

Clemens re-tweeted what she had seen and quickly many others followed suit.

Target quickly responded. A spokesman for the company said that it was an "unfortunate oversight" that made it sound like the sizes were a slight to plus-size women. In fact, he explained, "manatee gray" is used on products of all sizes.

"We apologize for any discomfort this might have caused and are working to update the name of the dress to reflect Dark Heather Gray,” he said. “This was an unfortunate oversight and we’ll take it into consideration moving forward.”

Personally, I think someone was trying to be funny and struck the heck out!
