Earlier this month Apple announced a new music service, Apple Music, a streaming service that would cost $9.99 a month after a three month trial.

However, during that trial period, artists, writers, and producers would not be paid. As you can imagine, the folks who make the music are none too happy about this.

Count Taylor Swift in that number. To show her disdain, she announced that her "1989" album wouldn't be on the service and even penned an "open letter" to Apple on her website.

In it she wrote:

I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company...three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing.

We don't ask you for free iPhones.  Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.

Since she wrote this letter, Apple has seemingly changed their thinking. Last night the tech guru Tweeted the following:

Apple Music WILL pay artists for streaming, even during customers' free trial period. We hear you Taylor and indie artists. Love, Apple.

Well done Tay Tay, well done!
