#TBT – Charlie Rich Sets CMA Awards on Fire [VIDEO]

We love #TBT - Throwback Thursday allows us to whip out embarrassing pictures of friends and family, and post them on social media, which is completely awesome!

I'm sure if country music star Charlie Rich were alive today, he would be cringing over one of the most controversial moments of his career, which can now be seen all over the internet. At the 1975 CMA Awards, Charlie Rich calmly read the winner of the Entertainer of the Year Award, which was John Denver, and then promptly set the envelope on fire to show his disdain. It's one of the most shocking moments in country music awards history, and Charlie was clearly intoxicated, so that makes it just a little more interesting!
