This may be a little tough for me because I absolutely love my country music. I am also so proud of all of the new talent we were introduced to in 2015.

I know for sure that I will never be able to pick a top favorite, but I think I can handle a top six. So here are my top six favorite country songs released in 2015:

6. Kicking off my list is my girl Kelsea Ballerini with her number one tune, very first song, and history making hit 'Love Me Like You Mean It.'

5. Next up on my list is from another country music newcomer. My number five is Canaan Smith with him first tune 'Love You Like That.'

4. It just wouldn't be my top favorite list without my boy Brantley Gilbert. Although I am a fan of his music in general, his most recent tune 'Stone Cold Sober' is just one reason why I love him.

3. Yes, it is true. I am a sucker for a great love song. And Thomas Rhett's 'Die A Happy Man' is a 'for sure' favorite! His definitely has his dad's talent for country music.

2. I am going to have to give the number two spot to the one I call boss man. Chris Stapleton stepped into the country music game out of nowhere and completely blew my mind with his talent. From his album 'Traveler,' my favorite has to be 'Tennessee Whiskey.'

1. I honestly did not think I would be placing this song at number one on my list, but I feel like it only makes sense. I have been in love with it since it was released by these two very talented men and it simply never gets old for me. So coming in at number one on my list is the Brothers Osbourne with 'Stay A Little Longer.'

I can't even explain how tough it was to leave songs out of this list. I am pretty sure my heartstrings were pulled a little. I have been a music lover my entire life. You will always catch me singing my latest craze in the shower, in the car, in the hall at work.

The reason these six songs made my list is because they are the tunes that stayed on repeat from the day I first heard them. They are the songs I have played the most this year and still jam out to.

2015 was definitely a growing and changing period for country music. We watched George Strait play his very last live show, we welcomed Garth Brooks' new music in with open arms after many years, and we have a very long list of brand new talented artists that have taken the country music world to brand new levels. We have also said goodbye to a few legends.

Country music may not exactly sound like it does in our Classic Country Saturday Night archives, but it has experience growth. No matter what the guitar solo sounds like or if the lyrics are simply spoken, country music has and always will tell a story. That is the one thing that will never change and I am so proud to be a part of it's family.

Happy New Year, Dawgs!
