When people attempt to break out of jail, they usually hit the ground running and never look back, at least until they're caught. Well, something very different happened at a Weatherford, Texas jail. These inmates broke out of their holding cell to save an officer's life.

It all happened June 23rd in the holding cell of the District Courts Building in Weatherford, Texas, according to local ABC affiliate WFAA 8.

The inmates noticed the officer suddenly slump in his chair, and they knew something was wrong. They immediately came to the aid of the officer, probably saving his life.

It's unclear how they were able to get out the holding cell.

The inmates yelled for help, the paramedics were able to get to the officer in time to save him, and he's expected back at work on Monday!
