Cereal, it's what's for breakfast. Or at least at my house it is many a mornings.

The folks over at MrBreakfast.com recently did a poll and simply asked people to give their all-time favorite cereal. The results lie a bit on the nostalgia side.

The votes clearly came from baby boomers and cereal hipsters, whoever are those cats. Because four of the top 10 cereals were discontinued before 1980.

Let's see if we even know what some of these cereals are. Here are the top 10 vote-getters, out of the more than 570,000 votes casted:

  1. Quisp (Discontinued in the 1970s then brought back in 2012.)
  2. Frosted Flakes
  3. Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  4. Honey Nut Cheerios
  5. Cap 'N Crunch
  6. Wheaties
  7. Concentrate (It was made of little nuggets marketed as being "concentrated nutrients". Discontinued in the '70s.)
  8. Rice Krinkles (They were like sugary Rice Krispies but bit it in the '70s too.)
  9. Puffa Puffa Rice (Again sort of like Rice Krispies covered in honey or brown sugar, and discontinued in the 1970s.)
  10. Wheat Chex

This list is severly flawed. Where's Fruity Pebbles or Lucky Charms, shoot I would've been happy with a little Cookie Crisps action!
