I have to admit, “American Idol” is an on/off obsession with me. After Acadiana’s own Jacee Badeaux left this year, I didn’t watch with as much enthusiasm. But they always seem to come up with some potential country music superstars, so I’ll definatly be glued to the set during the finale. It’s a great excuse to have a party, and celebrate that elusive American Dream. I was pretty shocked, however, to see what the actual dollar numbers are for contestants- rags to riches might be the understatement of the year!
