The Original Doink the Clown Died on Friday

Matt Osborne, who was wrestling's original Doink the Clown, was found dead in his home on Friday in Plano, Texas. He was 55 years old.

Police said his death appeared to be accidental, however, a homicide investigation was immediately launched.

Although several people played Doink over the years, Osborne was the original. He originated the character in the WWF (now WWE) in 1992. In recent years Osborne struggled with substance abuse issues.
