Anthony Riley, a contestant from the recent season of the The Voice, has died at the age of 28 of an apparent suicide.

The Philadelphia-based street performer wowed the judges in the blind auditions getting turns from all the judges. He decided to go with Pharell Williams as his coach.

He then went on to win his first round battle. However, he abruptly left the show after that stating "personal" issues. Riley later went public with his struggle with substance abuse and confirmed that he left The Voice to seek treatment at a rehab facility in Philadelphia.

Riley made a name for himself in his hometown of Philadelphia as a street performer. In 2014, Philadelphia Magazine even named him the city's best street performer.
